Guests
Do guests need to install an app?
No. The QR code opens Alfred in the phone's browser. Confirmations arrive on WhatsApp, or by SMS for guests who do not use WhatsApp. No sign-up, no password.
Which languages are supported?
Arabic and English, chosen by the guest at the first scan. Every message afterwards follows that choice.
What happens to the guest's phone number?
It is used to send the confirmation for that visit. Staff see only the last four digits on the floor screen.
Can guests pay from the phone?
Yes, by card. Guests who prefer cash choose Pay later and settle with the waiter; Alfred records the amount either way.
The floor team
What does the floor team need?
A tablet or any screen with a browser for the floor screen. Waiters can also open it on their phones to see their own sections. Each team member has a login, so every action carries a name.
Can we change the menu ourselves?
Yes. Prices, photos, categories and availability can be changed at any time, and changes are live the next time a guest scans.
How do sections work?
You name your sections (terrace, indoor, lounge) and assign tables and waiters to them. The floor screen filters by section, so each waiter sees their own tables and the shift lead sees all.
What does going live involve?
We set up your venue, menu, sections and waiters, print the table codes, and train the team on site. Most venues start on one section and switch the rest once the team is comfortable.
Commercial
Does it replace our point of sale?
Alfred handles the guest side: menu, orders, requests and the bill confirmation. It keeps a record of every visit and can hand that over to your accounting or point-of-sale system. Talk to us about the integration you need.
How is it priced?
Per venue, by the number of tables and sections, with set-up and on-site training included. Ask us for a quote; a trial on one section comes first.
Where is Alfred used?
It has been trialled with restaurants, cafés and hotels in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
