On a busy terrace a waiter covers more tables than they can watch. Guests wave, wait, and eventually walk to the counter. The bill takes longer than the meal. None of this is anyone's fault; it is a limit of eyesight.
Alfred replaces the wave with a tap. The QR code on the table carries the table number, the menu opens in the guest's language, and three buttons cover most of what a guest ever needs: a waiter, the bill, or fresh charcoal. Every tap becomes a highlighted line on one screen until a waiter picks it up.
We named it after the most famous butler in fiction because that is the standard: there before you ask, gone before you notice. It has been trialled with restaurants, cafés and hotels in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
